Now they're on their way back home to Norway already.
The weekend has passed away so quick.
And it's been so good.
Sharing some of my world with them lovely.
They've been doing shops in Oxford Street,
getting friends with the tube, feeling the heavy London windrain,
painting with light in the Lomography - workshop,
drinking "cheap" pints and cocktails, walking their feet tired
among the punks at the Camden market, getting lost
on the underground, eating greek wraps and
complaining about queues and crowds, chilling out with
wine and people on the blue litted floor at a gallery- opening,
topped up their oysters at least once, ooh-ed and aah-ed,
rocking their heads to a private studio jam -concert,
charmed by French drummers, driving bike taxi in the night,
strolling vintage stalls in Brick Lane and getting free
milkshakes due to tourist luck, drinking a bit more, picking up some
slang, and bags and suitcases have been stuffed in my room
while felt they've in love with this city.
It's going to be a bit strange to go away to lecture again
tomorrow morning, and not having any one of them here.
Thanks, girls, for some really good days with you ♥
See you again around Christmas!
Chill.
Love. Love.
Oooh. Happiness.
Tuva, Elisabeth, Katinka and Eirin
are coming over from the
Norwegian snow to visit my
London for a few days :D
So, I'll give a damn about regularly blogging these days.
Some looped chain-gang sounding chanting and some swaying nonsense.
Add a dictaphone, ukulele and beats.
This is dizzyingly exciting and intense from her Tune-Yards.

I ♥ Ladyhawk.
And I ♥ her artwork for the Beck's bottles.

Got my little shelf - collection.
The werewolf andthe hawk -girl.
This autumn, for the first time ever,
you'll be able to get your hands on
limited-edition Beck's bottles
designed by leading musicians.
Well known for their distinctive
styles and eye-catching cover art,
Ladyhawke and Hard-Fi will be
taking inspiration from their
music to create art for our label.
Oh, and look what I found:

Yeah, Hi-Fi's yellow
"Love Music Hate Racism"s
are not bad either though I tell you!
- They're the next pick ups...

(Helped Jordan with his project for the exhibition piece here the other night.
Conor and Briggs steppin' into the mess too.
And I ended up killing some GTA-people half asleep - then asleep - on the stupid playstation. )
Woke up Jordan downstairs and collected the tasks from Ms. Davies at the National Gallery
a little hour later. Scrolled between groups of tourists and paint classes to examine
the main pictures displayed. For a long while.
Then ended up on a sushi bench for lunch.
And later the two of us winked goodbye to Jenny,
and went jumping into candy stores, trying too expencive outfits and gambling
away some money on roulette, having fun,
before he left me and I still had some hours to spend.
- Managed to make some big - time Christmas presents shopping then.
Greatness.
Then a nice concert in the back of a pub in nowhere.
Quiet, real and unpolished from a friend of us on the stage,
and chattering and more good company around the table.
You better check out that Paul Martin here;

No pictures of shimmering Edward or the murmurous werewolfs, but some of the nice people and the
great Wasabi post-cinema sushi we had.
(Ok, the film was super, especially watching it sitting beside Krishna holding my hand on one side and
Cristelle's on the other, and he being even more excited about the handsome vampire than us and every
teenie on the rows behind!)

O2 Arena was a glowing surprise -after we finally managed to find the right car park, this is the sweetest God- named
with the nicest Indian accent who knows all the ABBA lyrics(not kidding),
Ben got something that was still alive...(!), my "I love salmon" - rolls were towers of joy, Hélène has really scooped her
boyfriend, and green tea tiramisù was a superfluous invention.

And we(I mean, Chaffeur Ben) drove the car! Gosh, felt good! I mean, no DLR, no tube, no waiting...just a car
full of good vibes and Kings of Leon on the stereo, taking us straight the way :)
...Now I want some breakfast before running of to study visist at the National Gallery today!
Wishing you all a sweet monday.

(This green should be almost like the color of the scarf I'm knitting)
Waken up by the rowers outside of my window today,
and then a quick ceral breakfast before bus to the leisure centre
in the wind.
The coach of the sunday circuits class shouting "aaand, up and on, com'on now!"
, "moooove, faster!", "aaand another one! gogogooo!"....'til we were totally
exhausted and smiling satisfied by ourselves.
Wet showered hair felt good on my way to Asda
for the weekly fridge-filling shopping
with Radiohead in my headphones among all the families
with their stuffed trolleys.
Improvised chili-pineapple-squash mix for lunch,
then some internet scrolling and slacking,
and, hey, where's half of the day already gone?!
Watched the New Moon trailer now, and cant't help for suddenly
looking forward to the cinema tonight for real. The French girls have been
so excited about it, so it'll definitely be a cheering experience anyhow!
- Oooh, Hélène calling! -
Have to make myself ready!

People have started buzzing about Christmas coming soon.
But, honestly, I haven't got any pre-Christmas spirit in my soul yet,
and I suppose it will take long, 'cause where's the snow normally
following this (wintery?) time of year?
I'm still in the mood of late autumn, but, that's not going to stop
me from digging out something for a suggested Christmas list
this year. Difficult though, when I feel the most needed
would be a cashier to support the everyday costs, but I'll
now stopstop being practical and reasonable, and spread:
---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- ------------
- to get home for a little while.
to family and white snow, and all the traditions I like
,just because they're Christmas.
fireplace and mum and dad's food, a constantly full fridge,
weekend newspapers, vørterøl, carols, my big bed,
Aico, ski, siblings...and....well, I think you get it...?!
- give me a hug. I look forward to see you again!
- one of those beautiful vintage watches at Spitalfield's market
(haven't had a watch sincehmm...I was six ,
but tired of always having to use my
mobile to check the time, so I can actually see the use of it now...)
- canvas, stretchers, paint, materials etc. for my art work
- or, make the job easier for my suitcase;
gift voucher at Cass Art art supplies store, so I can go there myself
when I come back and need stuff:
www.cassart.co.uk/
- homemade music recorded
(with so many friends making so much great music,
that's the best gift!)
- a bike here
(oh, would be great to have next year when living in town.
but, I'll might save that wish for my birthday instead...)
- visitors over here during next semester
- Diana F+ 35 mm Back for my Diana camera,
so that I can use all the enlargers in our darkroom
when developing my own films

uk.shop.lomography.com/diana-35mm-back
- film rolls(120mm), instant film(600) for my polaroid,
photo paper, silver emulsion and other photography stuff
- knitted comfy socks
- CDs: Florence and the Machines' "Lungs",
Devendra Banhart's "What Will Be Will Be",
and all the other ones on the looong list of great music
- art books of all kinds, with photos, biographies,
or facts and fun for inspiration
- massage/spa
(my aching shoulders and back would be so grateful)
- a cinema-/ baking-/ adventure-/ road-trip-/ crash-/ concert-/ cafè- date
with some of you nice people I know :)
- DVDs: Control, 500 Days of Summer, I'm Not There,
some good serie I can dive into
- gift voucher at the wonderful favourite store
All Saints of Spitalfields, for some new clothes

www.allsaints.com/
- a new external hard drive
(ouch...yeah...the 1TB one is already full)
- the new fragrance from Viktor&Rolf, Eau Omega
a jolly good scent!

- time. to be.
- earrings of all kinds.
finally figured out I've actually pierced my ears,
so I can dress them up a bit...
- money for my planned train trip through the
British islands between Christmas and next semester starts
(official announcement to all family members;
envelopes are not boring.)
- tea bags with some good green tea
(consumer goods in my life)
- the sweet, strange, nice and cosy things only you know I need
---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- --------------
Hahaha, now the radio's even playing "Driving Home For Christmas"!
How suitable! Cheesy!
"It's just four weeks away...." the lady introduced it....
PS. This list might be continously up-dated the following weeks ;)

Ok. I was supposed to bus to Oxford today with the
free trip for international students, and had really looked forward to it.
But, happened to not have turned on the alarm properly.
So, overslept just enough to not make it.
And, I was even awake at half six, but pleased to have half an hour more.
Then, suddenly had it become nine and to late. Damn.
The Saturday morning is therefore instead Smooth Radio, tea, prunes
and looking over at the reading on my desk that have to be done.
Will start soon, and, yeah, I suppose it's better to do some work
than stroll aorund in old university city's anyway, right...
Just some recover- slacking first, 'cause yesterday became
a bit later than planned.
Had the greatest night in the theater with Andrew, who's good fellow
had a role in the funny and entertaining play about some boy scouts
who got stuck in Afghanistan with some gloomy desert men
with poison....
Friday night in the pubs with winter pimm's
and yum in the glasses. And, show followed by
the delicious chinese vegan
eat-as-much-as-you-like-buffet.

Made to delay our return to campus with an spontaneous
intermediate landing at Moorgate, which happened to be
a totally dead area, so Bishopsgate with its bars was a bit more attractive.
And the tube had closed for the night when we finally
decided to leave, so three different night buses
(just called sightseeing and driving in circles to the
point of annoying hadn't it been for the company.)
I hit the pillow in the morning some time.

WaKe uP, MiSs!
Feels quite ok to wake up earlier than usual, when
it's because of a study visit at Tate Modern with that
bespetacled man knowing loads of museum theory,
asking annoying questions and touring us around
between sculptures, paintings and innstallation.
It was good to be back in there - can not quite understand
how I've managed to wait so long.
Tate is just fab fab fab.
And, to stick to our new tradition, Jules, Cassie,
Alina and me went for some
nice lunch after all the mind twisting art thinking,
and the choice of the day fell on, not sushi, for once,
but the warming noodle dishes at Wagamama.
Together with what must be the best beer in the world,
Japanese goodness. (And, that's me, not a beer- type
at all!)

Then, after grabbing some honeycombs from a Borough
market stall, I went on my own to stroll some streets and
do a few errands before going on to Bethnal Green for
yet another study visit.
This time with my some Fine Art folks,
to Fiona Banner's studio.
What an inspiring lady! Telling us about these war
airplanes she's been so obsessed with and explaining
that she's bought herself an IBN-number!
Great stuff.
Wish I had a studio like that - I've could lived there,
and just been working on the walls and sleeping
in a hammock or something.
Dream.

Some nice Swedish chill.
Take it easy.
It's gonna be some of those good days too.
And you know...
Not just my hair that gets messy in the mind-blowing weather.
Messing around with my writings and drawings too, just slammed my head into the sink when
trying to pick up an ear-ring I lost on the floor, can't really decide on anything,
and not to mention the cup of tea I managed to spill on my sketchbook.
Damning that I couldn't sleep properly neither tonight, with that rumbling noise around my ears, feeling
that the halls would fall down every minute and wondering what the peepy sounds were.
Ended up in a swirl of wollen socks and jumper with both hands on my ears.

Where has my latest ELLE issue gone, btw? It should've been in the mailbox long time ago by now,
I've even seen it in store.
Damn the post strikes too.
Miss my yoga classes, but they'll do "the bending dog" on their own today.
Just because I'm worth it, and because that AVA show opening earlier was just strange bad art;
Now I'm going to watch Control, on that fab web-site Jenny found me to download free films.
- Stupid me to never have thought of such greatgreat illegalness before.

I've been hammering and hammering on the piece of
metal, knocking along on the anvil, burning and
cutting through it, shaping it and sparks flying all
over the room. Now I've got blemishes on my thumb,
my arm(no, not been hammering that much lately)
aches and the lung project which so sudden
appeared in mye head is starting to work out.
Metal lungs. What's the next? The papered, the one
out of plaster or glass, or should I go for wire,
wood, or knitted. I'm going to keep on.
- I've surely got something stuck in mye head on this
breathing thing. Can't help it.

Who breathes in metal? Is it a shield? Could be. Would be
nice. Metal and fragile. Contrasts and opposite. Cold and
hard against the dynamic and airy. Systematic vs bulked.
Machine- like. Industrial, but anyhow organic.

I spontaneously changed my mind and went to the cinema
yesterday night, which for some reason I suspect to be
the reason of my bad, but heavy sleep, tonight.
Yeah, for the first time in uni I (nearly) overslept crucially.
English kids stabbing up old men on the walkways,
police forces armed to their chest, everyday violence
and dark dark lifes, was just exactly not what I wanted to see.
But, "Harry Brown" was, ok, a well made movie anyway.
- Just don't eat caramel Ben&Jerry's before bloody films
with close-ups of drug injections...
Today, it's impossible to walk outside without beeing
blowed around by the heavy wind.
Skipping the rest of the morning lecture
to work on my essays instead.
And look forward to a lunch date.
And some necessary laundry and fridge veg filling.
Gaugh.
